Expensive, but worth it!: Canon CLI-221 2946B004 4-Color Value Pack in Retail Packaging-Black/Cyan/Magenta/Yellow

Genuine Canon inks and ink cartridges are designed, developed and manufactured in Japan. In other words, the entire process is centrally controlled and it makes the quality control simple and well-organized; and helps to maintain the quality of all genuine Canon inks at a high level. All genuine Canon ink cartridges are designed for your easy printing of your beautiful prints.

I know this Canon CLI-221 2946B004 4-Color Value OEM ink is expensive, but the quality of this ink can't be matched by the NONOEMS. If you care about the quality of your prints, this the way to go. I have used all kinds of after market products, and no matter what they claim about their quality, they just can't compare to oem.

I also ended up with clogged print heads and at least 1 trashed printer. Photo output with this ink is gorgeous, and the color tones are just right.

We go through a pack of these Canon CLI-221 2946B004 every other month, with significant printing in between. We get anywhere about 15 cents per page with this color ink set (depending on how often and how many pages we print at a time, we got a range between 10 and 20 cents per page). The more pages we print at one time, the more cost-efficient the printer/cartridge.

I like how the cartridge has a clear body. It is easy to verify if your printer says there is no ink left, you can check the cartridge. Fortunately, when the printer tells me that there is no ink left, there really is no ink left. I use original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Canon inks because I found them to be more reliable.

These Canon CLI-221 2946B004 4-Color Value Pack come with an LED that blinks and indicates how much ink is left, which blinks faster with less ink. I used Canon-compatible inks on a previous printer (Canon MX310), which clogged the print head several times, the last of which damaged the print heads.

The MX870 replaced this printer, and since I only use OEM Canon ink cartridges I have had no issues whatsoever.
