Brother Printer MFC7860DW Wireless Monochrome Laser Printer

I had toyed with buying an all-in-one mono laser printer for several months. Until my purchase of this printer I'd always used inkjet printers for home use, and was frustrated by the cost of (genuine) replacement ink cartridges.

This Brother MFC7860DW Wireless Monochrome Laser Printer, (with the additional purchase of high capacity TN450 toners and a very occasional replacement drum) will save me a significant amount over the next few years compared to just keeping a cheap inkjet printer in ink!

The MFC7860DW Laser Printer print quality from this printer is very pleasing. The first print job I sent to the printer, (wirelessly), was a 115 page Word document. I was absolutely amazed how quickly this printed! It's also worth noting that the document feeder performed flawlessly with such a large document.

After this large print job had finished, I had a little play and picked up a magazine and copied the cover just to see the scan speed of the printer and the quality of the print. I set-up the faxing capabilities and filled out the registration documents for the printer and faxed them to Brother directly, (as advised as an option on the document itself), and the fax went through quickly and without issue.

Brother MFC7860DW Wireless Monochrome Laser Printer works great with mac and pc computers in my house. All the computers connect over wireless and I have had no problems printing or scanning from any of them. One cool feature is being able to print and scan from my ipad and iphones.

It's very convenient to print movie/airplane tickets when I'm too lazy to get onto a computer. I leave the printer on all the time and it's silent once it goes on power save. It does everything that I need for a shared home printer.
